"Otets Paisiy" 29 houses the Armenian Cultural Centre, the editorial office of an Armenian newspaper and the Armenian Board of Trustees. On the building there is a marble slab with an inscription in Cyrillic and Armenian .
The history of the Plovdiv Armenians and their families is full of vicissitudes. After the First World War many Armenians emigrated in Bulgaria, which became their second homeland. The largest Armenian community lives in Plovdiv. They are famous watchmakers and goldsmiths. That is exactly why “Otets Paisiy” str is called "the goldsmiths street."
