Inscription on a tombstone from church "St. St. Constantine and Helena "
Revival Inscription
1795

It is richly ornamented, with symbols from the earthly and heavenly path of man. The scissors and the meter at the bottom of the stone show that it belonged to the c raftsmen's association of tailors (abadji guild). Characteristic of the Renaissance is the placement of richly ornamented tombstones, on which symbols and images mark the life and professional field of man.
*During the Revival, Plovdiv was a centre of trade and crafts. Guild organizations are an important factor with their own law and order, supported by the state and respected by the people.
